Working to improve the quality of health care for racially and thenically diverse populations

Established in December 2004, the National Health Plan Collaborative was formed out of a commitment to reduce racial and ethnic health disparities and improve the quality of care for all Americans. Today, the Collaborative consists of a national network of health plans working in partnership with one another and with organizations from the public and private sectors to identify strategies for addressing health disparities and improving access, quality and care delivery. The activities of the National Health Plan Collaborative are overseen and led by America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP).
